Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started more intense vocal training through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs.
